Hello, I am a descendant of the William Jasper Rogers line, you say that you have pictures of possible Rogers, I would be interested in learning more, I have a picture of William Hardy and family members on their front porch in the Marshall Hill area, I was at W.J. Rogers grave site when the stone was place there.
A question I have for you is how did you decide that George N. Rogers was in the 29th and not the 16th Reg.? In the book Storm on the mountain are several pictures and the rolls of Thomas Legion, my grand Mother Flora Mildred Rogers knew W.J. Rogers and picked him out in one of the photos in that book , then when we started going through the rolls she picked up on several names of friends and relatives of W.J. Rogers . The 16th had several listed as did Thomas Legion because of the transfer of Co. E to fill the ranks of the Legion. Sorry for rambling was just wondering what prompted the decision between the 2.
Thanks
Jeff Shelton
