I am new to using probate records but what a wealth of information. Looking for advice from more experienced searchers: Is it common to have one probate file contain two persons' info. Joseph Eason the younger died intestate Mar 1815 with two surviving infants and spouse who petitioned for dower. These records are interfiled with Joseph Eason (his uncle) who died abt Feb 1816 with a will, no spouse and three children as devisees. I know they were separate persons and can follow the papers as they apply to each case but was surprised to find them combined. Any input is appreciated.
