I have been doing my family tree for years, but for the most part only through ancestry.com. I have started to hit brick walls and need to start branching out and I don't know much about how to research outside of Ancestry.com.

I found a posting of Blount County, TN wills index and I see that one of my relatives who I have been trying to find information on is listed on there. They have a will date, probate date and some book and page numbers.

How do I use this to try and find a copy of a will? Do I need to be in the TN area to do so?

Any help in the right direction would be very much appreciated.
