Thanks. I’m amazed that you could make out so much of the first four lines. The town in North Dakota that you thought started with “T” is Timmer. Most interesting is the reference to my relative’s brother-in-law (Jacob Gaab) in Argentina. But, was this his sister’s husband, his wife’s brother, or the husband of his wife’s sister? This looks like another name to chase down.

The following letter is the earliest letter—of interest to me—that I’ve seen published in the Herold. It is also the only letter from my great grandfather Baltzar Fleck in Marienthal, Sask., Canada.
