Can anyone tell me if it would be unresonable for a bride to use an assumed name for her marriage. The reason is that I cannot find a marriage certificate/entry for an ancestor. The claimed they were married on their childrens birth certificates, but for the 1841 census she used an assumed name? I realise also that they may not have married at all.
