You will get:

Date and place of birth
Forename(s) of the child
Sex of the child
Father's name (if married to the mother or, if not married, if he accompanied the mother to the registration, acknowledged paternity and signed the register - a very rare scenario)
Mother's name (and maiden name, plus any former names)
Father's occupation (blank if no father's name is given)
Signature of the informant (normally one of the parents)
Date of registration

Hope this helps. If you are going to order a certificate, make sure you do it direct with the GRO (www.gro.gov.uk). Ordering via third parties will cost a great deal more than the statutory £9.25 fee and take a lot longer.
