James Willisey a 26 year old mason of Lancaster arrived in Sydney Australia on 27 May 1855 in the ship Constitution. His parents were in Whittington LAN. There were many deaths on the voyage & later in quarantine. A monument was erected at the North Head Quarantine Station to commemorate the voyage & those who died. A reunion of surviving passengers was held in 1905 at the memorial site.
