A Mattingly reunion will be held August 3 at Sr. Mary Magdalen parish hall in Payneville in Meade County. All descendants of John Mattingly Jr. and his wife Susan Arnold welcome. This would include descendants of Mary Ann Mattingly and her husband William Henry Payne, Benedict J. F. Mattingly and wife Julia Russell, Magdalena Mattingly and husband Stephen Ray, Francis E. Mattingly and wife Susan Arnold, Susan E. Mattingly and husband John A. Smith, M. Mahala Mattingly and husband Joseph Eli Arnold, Eliza Helen Mattingly and husband William Singleton Arnold, John G. Mattingly and wife Ellen Hardesty, and Robert V. Mattingly and wife Isabelle Logsdon. Many of their descendants are in Meade, Breckinridge, Daviess and Jefferson Counties, Kentucky.
