Families of George W. Mofford (1845-1926) & Mary Ann Downing (1850-1934) and John Perkins (1845-1894) & Nancy Walker (1824-1888) are invited to the Mofford/Perkins reunion to be held in Brooksville, Ky on Sunday, August 31. This is a yearly event - last Sunday of August.
We will be in the Watson Building next door to the Fire Station.
We bring covered dishes to share. People start showing up by 11am to sit and visit. Eating starts around 1pm -

building in Jonesboro, IN on the 4th Sunday in August (as it usually is)
Sunday, August 26, 2007.

Take Rt. 37 North or South (considering your location) to Rt. 35/22 combined.
Turn east on 35/22 a short distance and watch for a sign to Jonesboro and a
Church there. (This is 6th St.) Follow 6th St. to Corder St. and turn right to the
community building.

Dinner: 12:30 pm. Bring a covered dish, table service, lawn chairs.
Short meeting to follow dinner. A group photo will be taken. We will have genealogy,
old photos, correspondence to share. If you are unable to attend, please send us a
letter to share, copies of any photos, old obituaries. We will place them in the Minute
Book for the Reunion. We will return original photos to you after making copies.

There is a park and playground down the hill for kids. Hope to see you

Invitation to ALL Kentucky Couch descendants, near and far ... to come meet your ‘near and distant kinfolk'!

Please tell other relatives that you might have contact with…we don’t have everyone’s address.

I hope you all will join us, in putting together small packets of your 'family lineage history' along with some photos. You could include any history, data, pictures, etc., that you might want toshare. Not one of us has ALL the information or connections, and find that
what we ‘thought’, might not be correct at all… but with the sharing of information, maybe we can eventually get it all straight! Every little bit helps.

Bring enough food for your family (plus a bit extra), drinks, paper plates, forks etc., games (horseshoes, badminton, volley ball, etc.), and a fishing pole if you like… the shelter is right on the water with a neat boat dock. Don't forget to bring a jacket or sweater, and maybe an extra chair, just in case it might be needed. If you play a musical instrument such as banjo, guitar, harmonica etc., please do bring that along.

Directly after lunch the Auction is on… please create the auction stash by bringing items with you that are worthy of ownership and desirable because of their uniqueness, creativity or even their antiquity. Say you have two of
something you really value, share one of them with one of us
that is willing to bid highest. All funds will go directly toward the reunion expenses. Your contribution may become a cherished keepsake for generations to come.

Abraham Lincoln Post # 167 American Legion Hall in Bardstown, Kentucky. The post is located off the Louisville Road (Bardstown Road... depends which way you are traveling), Highway 150 on Downs Lane. If you are traveling on Interstate 65, take the 245 exit (Bernheim Forest) and travel towards Bardstown and then turn left on Highway 150.

The 62nd National Shambaugh Reunion will be held in Henderson, KY - August 12th & 13th, 2006

Our hosts, Alan & Carol Gehret, want to both invite and welcome you to their new home, Henderson, KY. Originally from Montgomery Co., PA, Alan now works for the John James Audubon State Park in Henderson. The schedule for this year's reunion is as follows:

Saturday, August 12th
1 pm - 4 pm - Greet family visitors at the museum in John James Audubon State Park
2 pm - 3 pm - Museum guided tour by Alan
3 pm - 4 pm - Board meeting in the museum
2 pm - 3:45 pm - Independant or guided walk on park trails by Carol
4 pm - 7 pm - Pot-luck supper and socializing

Free until 11:30 am - Church schedules available or walking around Hendeson and the park along the Ohio River

John Jupin came from France to America and settled in Nelson Co. before 1800. He married Eleanor and named his children in his will in 1816. Included are sons Freeborn, John, James, and Lewis Jupin. The Webb Family Reunion will be held at the West Carter Middle School Cafeteria, near Olive Hill, Ky., on Sunday July 3, 2005, beginning at 12:00 noon. All Webb family members and their descendants are welcome. Jonathan Webb and wife, Elizabeth Porter lived in Floyd County Kentucky.

Jonathan Webb’s, father, was William Webb of VA and his grandfather was John Webb. We do not know how we are fully connected to other Webb lines beyond Jonathan Webb. We are fairly certain that we are not connected to the John Webb-Mary Boone line of PA based on DNA analysis.

Three of Jonathan Webb’s children and a sister’s child raised families in Carter County: Wallis Webb-Melvina Hall, Judah Webb-Thomas Sammons, Zachary Taylor Webb-Sarah “Sally” Hall. John Wells married Sarah Flannery, daughter of Delilah Webb, sister to Jonathan.

I AM THE DAUGHTER OF JAMES RUSSELL STAMPER & MILDRED BUCKNER STAMPER, MY FATHER PASSED AWAY DEC. 9TH, 1960. MY FATHERS PARENTS WERE HENRY STAMPER AND LULA FISHER STAMPER. HENRY PASSED AWAY DURING THE TIME OF THE FLU IN 1918. LULA REMARRIED LATER TO WILLARD BROWN. I WOULD LIKE TO MEET THE RELATIVES ON BOTH SIDES OF THE FAMILY.(STAMPER & FISHER). AT THE PRESENT TIME I HAVE HAD LITTLE LUCK IN FINDING INFORMATION ON HENRY STAMPER AND LULA FISHER. WOULD LOVE TO KNOW WHO THEIR PARENTS WERE.

I am a decendant of William Riley "General Bill" Flannery through his son Isom Flannery. Isom, son Singleton Flannery m. Delilah Webb, dau. Sara Jane Flannery m. John W. Wells, son Allen Breckinridge Wells m. Araminta Serena Viars, son Claude W. Wells m. Willa Mae Susan Tackett, son Willard Franklin Wells m. Stella Oins Wagoner, dau. Altie Susan Wells (my-self). My parents both were born in Olive Hill, Carter Co. Ky. I was born in South Shore, Ky. We have a family reunion every year. This year it is at the Blue Licks Battlefield State Park, north of Carlisle toward Maysville, Ky. It will be on the 7th of July. Wish I could make it to your reunion. I would love to have a picture of Isom Flannery & Elizabeth Skeens, Singleton Flannery & Delilah Webb and his daughter Sarah Jane and husband John Wells and also a good picture of Allen Breckinridge Wells.
