Relatives, prospective relatives and friends of the Glenn and/or Tucker families are cordially invited to attend our reunion April 27, 28 and 29 in the beautiful Butterfield Room at the scenic Belle Starr Lodge at Robbers Cave State Park in the Wilburton, Latimer County, Oklahoma area. Our family came through Missouri from Tennessee, and we have many relatives there!

Registration and visitation starts Friday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. Sandwiches and snacks will be provided at 5:30 p.m.

A continental breakfast is provided on Saturday and Sunday mornings from 7:00 until 9:00 a.m. The Saturday evening meal will include a Leftover Medley and a wiener and marshmallow roast.

Many activities are scheduled for Saturday beginning at 10:00 a.m. These will include a short DNA presentation, recognitions, door prizes, drawings, an auction, a beauty contest, singing and more visitation. Other activities included for children of all ages are foot races, a nature walk, beading and the wiener and marshmallow roast.

Each family is asked to bring a covered dish for the noon meal on Saturday, a favorite family recipe, family photos and an auction gift. We also ask you to join in the auction and other activities, make yourself at home and have fun!

The Orr Reunion has been held in Mount Vernon, Missouri since 1937, bringing together the descendents of Paul and Isabelle (Boyd) Orr of the Townland of Rhee, Aghadowey Parish, which is near Coleraine in Londonderry, Northern Ireland (or Ulster, as it’s called in Ireland).

The 70th Reunion of the descendents of Paul and Isabelle Orr will meet Sunday, August 6th at the Ozark Prairie (Brick) Church, just outside of Mount Vernon, Missouri. (It's always on the first Sunday of August.) The church service at the "Brick Church" is at 10:45, and all are invited to attend. Lunch and visiting begin about noon, with the business meeting following that.

The basket dinner will again include the lemonade made from the family recipe, thanks to the fine efforts of Margaret and Bobby Samuels. Local families bring food to share. Visitors from out of town just come and enjoy the good cooking.

Please bring or send information about your family to add to the ever-expanding display and computer family history file. If you cannot attend, please mail any such information to the Orr Reunion Association, POB 382, Mount Vernon, MO 65712.

Note: These brothers were born in New Jersey to James and Louise Ledden Casady. At approx. ages 5 and 3, the boys were orphaned when their parents were killed in Kentucky. Eventually, the two brothers married sisters, Sarah Ann Surry and Hannah Lourinda Surry in Ohio. In the mid 1850's both families moved to Elm Township, Putnam County, Missouri where they lived until their death. Their descendants are now scattered throughout the U.S. Descendants used two spellings -Casady and Cassady- but it is the same family. This reunion is for all the descendants of William G. and A. Ledden Casady!

Note: These brothers were born in New Jersey to James and Louise Ledden Casady. At approx. ages 5 and 3, the boys were orphaned when their parents were killed in Kentucky. Eventually, the two brothers married sisters, Sarah Ann Surry and Hannah Lourinda Surry in Ohio. In the mid 1850's both families moved to Elm Township, Putnam County, Missouri where they lived until their death. Their descendants are now scattered throughout the U.S. Descendants used two spellings -Casady and Cassady- but it is the same family. This reunion is for all the descendants of William G. and A. Ledden Casady!

Fielden 2002 Reunion

We are happy to announce the location of The 2002 Fielden Reunion. Our cousins in the Springfield, Missouri area who did such a great job for us in 1998 have invited us to return there next year. The dates will be Saturday and Sunday, August 3 & 4.

This location is near the center of the USA and offers many attractions for combining vacation with the reunion. Branson is only about 35 miles away via a new 4-lane road.

This fall we will be sending a Fielden Reunion Newsletter to about 1200 families on our mailing list giving more details. If you know any Fielden descendants who may not be on that list, please let me have those addresses.
Also, if you have other e-mail addresses, please forward this to them and let me have those as well.

Our treasury was pretty well depleted after the 2000 reunion. If you care to contribute to the cost of the Newsletter, etc., please forward your check to me.

They were both from Germany, and had all of their children, Charlotte ,b. 1844; Jacob b. 1845; Frederick, b. 1847; Peter, b. 1850; Sarah b. 1851; Susanna, b. 1853; and Charles, b. 1855. The whole family moved to Missouri and are found in the 1860 census in Livingston Co.
