The annual BOBO Family Assn. Reunion will be 17 and 18 Oct. 2008 in Lynchburg and Shelbyville, TN. Activities will open on Friday, 17 Oct., with visits to historic Lynchburg and 11 a.m. dinner at Miss Mary BOBO’s Boarding House, followed by tours of the Jack Daniels Distillery, research at the library and Moore County Court House and visits to BOBO cemeteries en route to Shelbyville, Bedford Co., TN.
Motel accommodations and dining plans are being made for Friday and Saturday nights in Shelbyville.
On Saturday afternoon, the BFA contingent will join BOBOs in the Middle Tennessee area in their annual gathering.

Thanks so much. The reunion is at the Crockett Comunity Center at Crockett Mills Tennessee the 1st Saturday in May. We have pot-luck lunch. Each person brings their favorite dish. We eat at 12:00 Noon and have music and singing afterwards. That is when we all talk to everyone wlse and get reaquianted. It is not over until 4or 5 oclock.

Madewell Reunion 2nd Weekend June 2000

The Tennessee Madewell Reunion at Rock Island State Park Rock Island Tn.
Saturday June 10 2000 will be the main focus day with a potluck lunch about mid day and a weiner roast about dark, if burn conditions permit we will have a bonfire.
We will have nice shade and good parking. For the young and the young at heart, lots of sports activity will be avaliable. Softball,volleyball,basketball,playground equipment and even horseshoe for the less active like me.
For early arrivals and hold overs other activities will be avaliable. Fishing, canoeing, a guided water tour with a patk ranger. For all adventourous ages a night prowl with a ranger can be enjoyed, bring a flash light.
Bring your golf clubs, lets go at least once. We have some nice golfing in the area at attractive rates.
We're a short drive from just about anything you would want from music city to the great smokey mts. I will be avaliable before and after the weekend.

April 21 - 24, 2005 is the 8th annual national gathering for the Self - Selph Family in America in Chattanooga, TN. Sponsored again by the Self Family Newsletter research group. We're expecting over 100 Self researchers from all across America for this gathering. Anyone who cares in the Self family is welcomed. Hassell Reunion in Hickman County, TN July 17

On Saturday, July 17th, Hassell descendents of Zebulon and Benjamin along with descendents of Mary Hassell, who married Zebulon Tarkington , and also Solomon Hassell, (both children of Edward and Elizabeth Alexander Hassell and grandparents of Zebulon) will converge upon Hassell’s Creek at Tarkington’s General Store for the second annual Hickman County Hassell Reunion. Some of the kinfolks planning to come are from Texas, New Mexico, New York, Florida, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana, and North Carolina as well as all parts of Tennessee.
A full day of bluegrass music, fun, food and fellowship is planned beginning around 9:30 a.m. The Tarkington’s country store (established in 1927) will be open for business and everyone, whether kin or not, is invited to come and enjoy the music. Hamburgers and hotdogs will be available for you to purchase if you so desire. Cousins are asked to bring a covered dish (with something in it) for lunch which will be at 11:30

Down in the gap , town of Cumberland gap, Tn.
At Berkau picnic park. (go down in the gap, stay straight, look for signs)

Lebanon Church was started by Samule Conyers over 150 years ago in Dyer County, Tn., now in CD 13 of Crockett County. Crockett County was created in 1872.
With the grave of Thomas Conyers, Sr. located there, this is a home for many Conyers who are descended in this line. The Homecoming for Lebanon United Methodist Church will be on August 24th this year with the Revival 9/21-9/24.

I would like to know of a family reunion for the Janes Family of Chattanooga Tenn. My family line would be from William Malcolm Janes, my Gr-grandfather back thru Wm JANES, Emigrant: England. My grandfather was Richard Edwin JANES, married to PearlEda TAYLOR. They lived at the foot of Signal Mt. and Redbank, Chatt.Had 6 children--Willie, Malcolm, Francaise, Aileen, Richard and Carroll STAPLER JANES. On Saturday August 16, 2003 we have reserved the # 1 Pavilion at Newport City Park for a Palmer Reunion. Many members of the family are completely unknown to me but I am asking you to help me round up every Palmer relative who has roots in the Cocke County Palmer families. I haven't planned much except a place to meet and visit for the day. Ask everyone to try to bring family information on their line. Also there will be a covered dish dinner so ask every family unit to bring food proportional to their group. Please respond to me as soon as you can so I can know what to expect from your line of the family.

The progenitor of this PALMER family is Thomas Palmer, born in Loudoun Co., VA. After serving in the Revolutionary War, he came down into Cocke & Greene Counties, Tenn. Some of that family stayed in Cocke County. Thomas Palmer Sr. & Thomas Palmer Jr. later removed to Birchwood, Tenn. I am descended from Thomas Sr.'s son William Newton Palmer.
