Facilities offer beach volley ball, bunji jump, baseball field, olympic size pool, small lake with a slide, huge deck overlooking the facility & view of the area.

We have rented a large meeting room that has a stage & we will have a country western band for our entertainment on Saturday Night.

Sunday Morning we will host a non-denominational service with singing (no instruments) & communion will be offered for those who wish to partake.

Meals will be served 'cafeteria' style. We are allowed to bring our own snacks & drinks if desired.

Facility provides pillows, blankets, comforters.
*One suggestion is to bring Sleeping Bags for your bedding.
**We are to bring our own bed linens & towels.

Mary has reserved eight cabins that have two separate 'rooms' on each cabin that are our 'Motel Rooms'. These rooms consist of one queen bed & two sets of bunk beds to sleep six in each room. Our rooms each include a private bath.

Cost: Adults 13 & up:$79.00 (includes lodging with 3 meals, Saturday Dinner, Sunday Breakfast, Sunday Lunch)
Under 13: $29.00

We sure hope everyone can attend! Bring your cameras, video cameras, old & new family pictures, memorbilia, family history ... we want to extend our Ancestry Heritage Information while we are together!

There is an informal reunion to be held on the 4th of July at the old Anderson Cemetery in Carthage, Texas. This cemetery is on my 4G-Grandpa Wyatt Anderson's Texas Landgrant (Survey #350)..... If you haven't made plans for the 4th yet........come on down !!!!!
There is a Western 12 Oaks Motel about 2 miles from the cemetery and that's where I am going to stay as are our cousins Peggy Nader, Bailey Anderson, and Archie Anderson. I am going to stay both Saturday and Sunday night although it isn't necessary to stay at a motel at all --- we just want to visit with each other!!
Hey, I'm bringing the coffee pot (and the coffee) so put on some comfy clothes, grab a lawn chair, come join us and let's just yak and enjoy each other !!!!!

The descendants of Martin William "Gobbler" Jones and his wife, Rhoda Hodges, who married in 1804 in Jefferson County, Tennessee, are having their third reunion on 20 July 2008, at Huntington Civic Center, Huntington, Angelina County, Texas.

We are seeking all descendants of two of their sons; the first born, John Hodges Jones and his wife, Lucinda; and the third child, Jesse Riggs Jones. Jesse was the first of the Jones Family to come to Texas, where he fought in The Battle Of Bexar, he and his wife, Messiline Burks, were following her family from Arkansas, she was daughter of John D. Burks and Josephine Morgan. Messiline and her father died a few years before Jesse and Josephine (who both died in a house fire at Jones Prairie in 1848).
Jesse was the founder of Jones Prairie. Though his older brother, John, is credited with founding Jones Prairie, he did not. John and his family, came to Texas, about ten years after Jesse. John, along with his parents and the rest of his siblings and their families, arrived in Texas between December 1845 and January 1846. They went to Polk County to be with Jesse , but later, all of them except John (who stayed in Polk County) settled in Angelina County, establishing the town of Jonesville, second county seat of that county. John and Jesse had their family to marry into so many different families there, we have had difficulty locating all of them, and , therefore, some of you may not know you are a Jones descendant
If any members of the following named families intermarried with our Jones Boys, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Your's is a magnificient heritage. From Wales, in The United Kingdom, they "crossed the pond", landed on the shores of America The Beautiful, from the Carolinas, to Tennessee, to Alabama, to White County, Arkansas, and their final destination, The Piney Woods of "That whole other country, TEXAS. The following activities are available for free at the facility: Volleyball, Washer Toss, Swimming, Play Ground, Horseshoe Pitching, Basketball Court and Fishing.

We are going to give away prizes for the oldest two persons and youngest person attending, and the person with the most children, grandchildren etc. attending this year.

Descendents of Juan Antonio de la Garza and Maria Paula Gomez Osuna will host the third family reunion June 23-24 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
The Garzas were married in 1868 in Mexico. Their children included Bruno, Maximiliano, Seferino, Maria Antonia (Garza), Reyes, Jose Maria, Juana (Palacios), Manuela (Osuna), Gregoria (Ramirez), and Maria (Karam). Married names are in parenthesis.

Descendants of Samuel Dawson and Nara Clay (Feeback) Taylor (1867-1949) gathered at the Windom Community Park at 4:30 pm September 11, 2004 for a covered dish meal and to celebrate their heritage and family relationships, approximately sixty attended.

A brief business meeting was held. The group voted to meet again in 2005.

It will be a bring a covered dish (noon) lunch. Everyone that is somehow related to the Real, McGuffin, Neal, Recknor, Magouirk, Coats, Neale, Freeman, Speight, McDonald, Vick, Greer, Portman, Ferguson, Lowrey, Lewis, Buzbee, Bebee, Horn, McIntyre, McNaulty, Dickason, Brown, DeLouch, Eldridge, Harding, Hitchcock, Manning, etc. families are invited. The list goes on and on. There is no way I could possibly name all the family names but it would include many people on this board and a few other boards. You will need to bring a covered dish to share, bring your own drinks, and your chair. Directions from the Centerville, Leon County, Texas Courthouse at the intersection of Hwy # 75 and
Hwy # 7 are: Go North on Hwy # 75 to Hwy # 79. Go East on Hwy # 79. Go 8.5 miles past Buffalo, Texas to the Keechi Cemetery cut off. Turn right. Cemetery will be down on the right side of the road. I was told that last year there were about 300 people there. Hope to see y'all there. By the way Barbara, I just finished my book on the Real / Neal and related families. I will have it there. I am very proud of the way it turned out. It is packed with some great stories about the Real / Neal / Neale / McGuffin / Recknor and other related families. It is 231 pages with 58 pages of various photos.

The descendants of Elbert E. Autrey and Alma Endsley will be gathering again for their annual family celebration at the Maud Gun Club, Bowie County on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. September 3, 2005 The Maud Gun Club is on Highway 67, east of Maud. There will be several door prizes, must be present to win.

All connecting lines to the family are welcome, bring a side dish, or two, an item for the auction (proceeds go for next year's celebration), and plan to spend the day.

In the past, we have been blessed to have several branches of the Autrey and Endsley families attend our celebration. Elbert Eugene Autrey is descended from Robert Martin Autrey, the son of Absalom Autrey, 1802, who settled in Dubach, Lincoln Parish, La. Robert Martin Autrey followed a couple of his sisters to Bowie County, one of his brothers moved on to Coryell County, Texas.

Annual Tiffin Family Reunion

WOW!
You guys missed a great one if you weren't in Plainview, Texas July 11th & 12th. We had a big bunch turn out this year again. Approximately 120+ on Saturday. Several states were represented and a lot of different branches of the family had at least one person present.
The food was good. The auction brought in enough money to fund the shindig with a little left over to add to the bank account. "But" the entertainment was a hoot. Several family members put on a country theme skit with great music. It was really funny. I didn't know we had so much talent in our little ole family. Maybe they'll do it again.
If all goes right, We will be gathering in the cool pines of Ruidosa, New Mexico for our 2004 family reunion. I'll keep you posted.
If you'd like to contribute to our collection of pictures of our ancestors, please feel free to contact me. We want information and pictures of all the Tiffin descendants in America since the 1700's. If you don't know where you fit into the big Tiffin family tree, contact me and we'll help you out.
Remember, "the nuts don't fall too far from the main tree" and aren't we all sorta nutty??

On Saturday, October 20, 2001, the “Descendants of James S. Shuffield” will assemble for the “Annual Shuffield/Sheffield Family Reunion” at Bea’s Kitchen, 101 E. Main St. in Cameron, Milam County, Texas from 9am to 5pm. Catered bar-be-cue lunch will be served at noon, cost $6 per person.

James S. Shuffield was born in 1824 and was married to Martha Speed. There were eight children: Harmon Jasper [m. Sletha Jane McGee]; Marcus Newton “Mark” [m. (1) Jane/Jennie Unknown (2) Ada Donaldson]; James [m. Lula Wingo]; Emranda E. [m. Jesse Griffin Sherrill]; Sally (Mary) [m. (1) Columbus Clinton Hair (2) Unknown Clark]; Andrew C. [m. (1) Rose Lindsey (2) Sarah Newberry]; Frannie W. [m. Jacob P. French]; Elvira Abbie [m. William Newton McMillan].

James and his family moved to Milam County, Texas in about 1869 from Bartow County, Georgia. There is no information on the parents of James or his wife, Martha. The couple is buried in the Little River Cemetery, near Jones Prairie, with many of their children and other descendants.
