THORSELL Family Reunion in WI

There will be a THORSELL Family Reunion in WI in August 2005.

Those attending are descendents of Peter and Martha THORSELL. They came to the US in 1907 and settled in Illinois. Peter was born in Sweden in 1867. However he may have been born with the name Per Peterson, but was forced to change his name to get paid for a job b/c there were too many Per Petersons (at least that's how the story goes. I don't have proof yet).

ANyway he moved to Germany and Married Martha Lena DOERING in 1897. They had 5 children in Germany (William, Helen, Christine, Mary, and Gertrude). After moving to US, they had three more children (Carl, John, and Clara).

If you are interested in learning more about the THORSELL family(or have something to add) or would like to know about the reunion, please contact me.
To All Michael Researchers

Dear Michael Researchers,

The descendants of Philip and Louvicy Hall Michael, early pioneers to Green County, Wisconsin, are having a reunion of a different kind. Many, if not most, of these Michael Descendants have never met.

Our reunion will be August 03, 2002 at Cadiz-Springs State Park, Green County, near Browntown, Wisconsin. This state park was once Michael farm land. At the top of the hill is the Michael Cemetery, which is listed with the Wisconsin State Historical Society. Next to the cemetery is the old Michael school house which is now a private home.

There are Michael descendants coming from all around the country. Some of them we know are related, some of them might be, some are not but have a passion for the research and some are friends of a Michael. You are all invited to join us in our potluck one of a kind reunions. Accomodations to the area are limited as this is in a rural area of southern Wisconsin. There are only four motels and several bed and breakfast homes.

If you would like further information please contact me at MichaelReunion2002@yahoo.com

Hope to meet you!
