Surnames: Gould/Ecroyd/Cliff/Kendrick
My mothers maiden name was Ecroyd. Her father Francis Henry Ecroyd was born in Staffordshire, England in 1888. His father was George Henry Ecroyd born in Cheshire, England 1854. That is as far as I have been able to go back. My grandfather always said that the name was made up. He said that my great grandfather was illegitimate. If you have any further information please let me know
