Along the lines of what I replied to the query "John Parish (1742-1829) von Senftenberg", the untitled noble family von Hassel is found in the German-language series of books known as *Genealogisches Handbuch des Adels*, specifically Band (Volume) 99 of the Adelige B series XIX 1990. I don't know if your particular von Hassel family members will be found in this book, but it's something you might want to consider. If you don't have access to the GHdA (they are often found in larger public libraries or in university libraries), and if you don't get a specific answer from someone else in this message board, you might want to consider posting your query in the Usenet newsgroup <soc.genealogy.german>.
