I am just starting to research our family history (family name Jasienczyk) . My Grandfather immigrated to Canada in the 1920s from Poland with the last name Jasienczyk. We cannot find any (unknown relatives) in North America with this name - at least with this spelling.
I have a limited understanding about the Coat of Arms and how it works, however, it seems that families with the "Jasienczyk" Coat of Arms have a different last name. Can anyone provide any insight into this - is it possible that this was not the original family name? Is it possible to have the same surname as the familiy Code of Arms? .
