Wilhelmine of Prussia, Queen of the Netherlands- her ladies-in-waiting

Queen Wilhemine (1774-1837), according to family tradition, had a lady-in-waiting who was my ancestor. I have searched thoroghly for a long time, and I can't find the names of all of Wilhemine's ladies-in-waiting. If someone can give me a list of her ladies-in-waiting, I would be extremely grateful and thrilled! Any names would be helpful!
Diplomats, and children of.. Germany, Denmark, Sweden royalty,

I am looking for any members of my family and ancestors of Klindtworth from Germany. We have limited information on our ancestors. Heinrich "henry" Klindtworth and his older brother Joseph came from Buxtehude, Germany in 1874. Joseph was killed later in the 1906 Earthquake in San Francisco. At this time we are looking for a wife that he may have had, and any children. Heinrich married a Caroline "Lena" Hoff who was from Germany. They had a son and many other children as well, but Joseph married Erica Wulff. Many of our members have lived in Ca, ND, SD, Minn, Germany, Conn, OR, Mass, and Tx, and all over the place:) I do know what Fredrick Wulff is my ggggfather and he was an officer in the German Army in the mid 1800s, He was married unknown to us who she is. They raised the family in Schleswig Province, Preussen Germany. Fredrick was a diplomat from Germany to Denmark. He had a son named Ludwig Wulff. We have no info on him or his wife: Antonette S. they met at a party in Denmark. She was the daughter of a diplomat from Spain and she was polish and Spanish, they married in 1886. I do know they had children as well, one girl was Erica Wulff. We have no info. on her either. I am hoping i may be able to find any information on any of our ancestors. I would appreciate any info you may have or think u have... If possible and u think their may be a connection please email or mess me. We still have family in Germany. Their is also family with the names: Blair, all of the above mentiond, Simundson, Nygard, Smith, Barta, Emerson, Johnson, Schoenhit, Bryon, Bondel, Vervell, Thompson, Werven, Hartman just to name a few. I know we still have tons of family in Germany, Sweden, and Denmark and it would be wonderful to be able to share with my children the joys of having a wonderful family tree :) I appreciate your time & Happy Holidays to all!!!!!Cathy Klindt-Cobb

If I were you I would check Starke Genealogy Index of German Nobility website at http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~autwgw/sgi/index.htm#top
and put in the surmane of Hesch. The website has all the names of the German nobility in it's database. I know this maybe far off put there is the princely family of von Hessen und bei Rhein meaning Hesse by the Rhine family that is a collateral branch of the von und zu Hessen family.
Good Luck

We are in the same boat. My family is looking for The Duke of Reining or possibly Reinking. We have his ring, the Habsburg double-headed eagle with a diamond center so it must date to the Holy Roman Empire. I will keep an eye out for your Duke and Duchess while I am looking and please watch for mine. Thanks

I agree this must be common since my grandfather's name is Ebert. His father's name was William Ebert and I think the name goes up. Apparently my great grandfather moved as a child to the US and wasn't taught to speak much German -- it looked suspicious. Even so, my grandfather speaks a bit because he had heard it. I would love to have royal lineage; just knowing I had family elsewhere in the world is good enough.

I don't even know who his parents where. any way of tracing that area also? his trail deadends when he came over, I dont know anything before his trip.

I'm trying to verify some research started by another family member and am coming up very short on information. I can't seem to even verify a noble family of this name, but I don't know exactly where to look. Family legend has it that Clara Hesch came to the US after marriage to a common laborer. There is supposedly a passport hanging on someone's wall that states she is a princess, and he a laborer, but I've never personally seen it. Her parents were Antonius Hesch (christ. Jan 20 1810) and Agnetis Biller.

I am also looking for anything I can read to give a historical perspective of this region, and what exactly it meant to be a nobel in that place and period.

Look for "the family of Bowdoin" messageboard and you may find a link. Also if you search Baudouin or Bowdoin you may find the Bowdoin collage and if you do look for the Archives as this college was named and indowed by a Bowdoin family. They have a good collection of family photos or paintings ...I hope this helps. let me know.

sueannbee@aol.com

Well...just what is the marking if not the nose? Some of the early German Royal were and others as many married a family member much too close in the line. Some were a bit off as with King George III. By just looking at a picture you would not notice anything except the family men close to my family were very good looking. The only other thing might be the body shape. some were a bit slight and short. If thats is it some family members are short. If I haven't guessed it yet...please tell me wht it is!

The name Ebert and Eberts interconnect as one. The original Ebert name I am to understand, came from the name Egbert who was an early King of England which was of German royalty in those days. The Name Ebert and not Eberts showed up in records around 1100 years ago in Bavaria, from that they spread out through out Germany to many provinces. later to travel to different parts of Europe, England America and Canada, etc. Ebert now is a commen name but a few were knights for the Kings of Germany and others married in to certain royal lines of Germany.

Keep in mind been a von Ebert or von Eberts does not make one a royal or a carrier of royal blood but it may mean you or your ancestors may have a royal connection by said families marring in to some royal lines and the Ebert who may have married into said lines may have kept their family name along with their noble connected new name.

You are probably aware that von in german has different meanings not just a noble title, also some past and present Ebert linage just add the von before their surname for various reasons when they are not etitled to do so

If you wish to discuss further offline write to Dominik at picorporation@hotmail.com

Sue

No it is not the nose, but it really isnt important as I am the one who inherited said markings and not really of any interest to others, but it shows a direct genetic blood line to the same ancestors of a few related royals over many years.

Not being one of them but sharing the same ancestor as they have, Im sure they are not interested in me sharing their ancestors genes.

Most of us would like to know our ancestral background for different reasons. I was not looking for it but it was brought to my attention in the past few years. From there one thing led to another and the same ancestor genetic markers were discoverd as well some simiuler looks.

Good luck on your noble research and I will watch you progress as time goes on, and wish you well.

Dominik

If you know your history about the King George line then you might know who started that line. in about 1577 Louis Desnier married Jeannie de Mathefelon who had a son Alexandre who in 1605 married Marie Baudouin Du Peux, they had ason also Alexandre and he married Jacquette Poussard de Vandre in 1632...they were the parents of Elonore who was Duchesse of Brunswick & Countesse de Wilhemsbourg and was married to Prince Charles William de Brunswick-Zell. They were the parents
Sophie Dorthee who married Prince George Louis de Hanover in 1722. He became the King George I. The beginning of this royal line.
Von Elias

I am researching the VON ELIAS (just Elias in America) surname. My great-great-grandfather was Nicolaus Elias ca. 1833 and d.post 1920. He may have possibly had a brother named Balthasar (ca. 1827 - d.1878). Both Nick (as he was known here) and Balthasar lived in the same county (Manitowoc), bordering townships (Liberty, Eaton) in Wisconsin in the mid 1860s and 1870s. I cannot find anything on any web site showing either of these gentlemen before they came to the U.S. It is estimated that they came over in the mid-late 1850s and spent time in Detroit, Michigan. Family lore has it that Nick said he came from "Prussian Royalty" but fled to the U.S. to avoid military service. Any help with this would be appreciated; I don't have the name of a town or even real firm birth dates (the ones I have are extrapolated from census records in the U.S.) - it would be great to know where I should start.

My dear Nephew Donald, I would think that if you would like to know more about your Mother's family, you might want to speak to me. I have done some considerable genealogical research on all sides of the family tree, and have pinpointed where they originated from outside of Bremerhaven, which was
in Prussia in 1874, when they left for the USA. You can email me at aroepken@optonline.net, or call me at 516-221-6163. You might want to get your Mother's permission first. Uncle Arnold W. "Bud" Roepken
