Excuse me for my basic english. My Grand Mother was the nurse of Pavel Goudime Levkovitch.
I was in his house during many monthes in 1952-53. The house was called Maïa Longa in the town La Napoule a few kms from Cannes. I have some photographs of this house. Under the big garden there was the railway Toulon-Nice and a pedestrian tunnel under this railway allowed the access to the house his daughter Kira. Maïa Longa was sooner a hotel builded during the XIXe century, with more than 20 rooms. After General's death it has been destroyed and replaced by a modern flathouse. In Maïa Longa i knew the General's ordonnance Mr.Popov and he had a daily visit of his friend Baron Bilderling.
Concerning the origin of this family.
I don't know since when the name Gudim was added. But the Levkovitch are serbians who migrate to Russia to the service of the tsar during the XVI th or XVII th century
