Dear Jennifer,
Congrats to you. I've recently done the same with my family geneology. I'm African American and discovered my family's roots trace all the way back to revolutionary days, including relations to Thomas Jefferson and slave Sally Hemings, even Crispus Attacks. I've also discovered on both sides, they're related to royalty back in England and Ireland...and of course Africa b/c of the slave trade. I'm honored to be getting to know my ancestry and proud. I, too always knew I came from royal blood. It's like there was something special about me but couldn't prove it until now. I guess when my mom and dad teased me about have regal tastes, they weren't kidding! Hey, email me back, It's great talking to someone whose undergoing the same journey and discovery as me.
