>Using dates, it appears that the monarch at the time, would have been William I, Prince of Orange, King of the Netherlands, and Grand Duke of Luxemburg. William's second wife, Princess Wilhelmine of Prussia bore him 4 children (1 died young). The lineages of all these children is well documented. But, what about William's FIRST wife? She was one Henriette de Oultremont de Wegimont who was born in Maastricht, Holland in 1792 and died in 1864. This was his first Queen. Could it be that your ancestress was cousin and Lady-in-Waiting to this queen?

Willem VI, Prince of Orange (b. 1772, d. 1848) became Willem I, Prince (in 1813), then King of the Netherlands and Grand Duke of Luxembourg (in 1815). He married twice, first in 1791 to Princess Wilhelmine of Prussia (1774-1837), daughter of Friedrich Wilhelm II, King of Prussia. (Willem and Wilhelmine had six children, two of whom were stillborn. See *L"Allemagne Dynastique*, by Huberty, Giraud and Magdelaine, 1981, Tome III, p. 431.) Willem abdicated in October 1840, assumed the (non-reigning) title King Willem Frederik, Count of Nassau, and began a private life. A few months later, in February 1841, he married morganatically (unequally in rank) the Roman Catholic Comtesse Henriette d'Oultremont de Wégimont (1792-1864), daughter of Comte Ferdinand d'O. de W.(*) Henriette never held the title of queen (consort), but was titled Countess of Nassau after her marriage. (She and Willem did not have children.)

(*) It is my understanding, based on the information on the d'Oultremont family found at http://pages.prodigy.net/ptheroff/gotha/oultremont.html , that Henriette's father was not the head of the family. (This is why I've written Henriette's father's name as "Comte Ferdinand ..." instead of "Ferdinand, Comte ...".) For more information about this countly family, see *Généalogie Succincte de la Maison d'Oultremont*, by Charles-Emile d'Oultremont (1990).

According to the webpage "Genealogy of the Royal Family of the Netherlands - House Orange-Nassau" (at http://www.geocities.com/oranjenassau2002/gennetherlands.htm... ), Henriette was "Lady in waiting to HM Queen Wilhelmine of the Netherlands, 1817-1837". (Henriette was therefore a lady in waiting to the wife of her future husband, Willem.) A picture of the dark-haired Henriette can be seen on this webpage.
