Do any of you know anything of any Van Valkenburg (any sp) family in Holland?
Or where a lady in waiting would have lived in the 1800s in Holland?
My ancestor Katrinka (Catharine) Van Valkenburg (brn. 1802) was a cousin to the queen, and a lady in waiting. She was also a member of the Royal House of Holland, and fled to America to avoid marrying a German prince. I have no idea which queen it would have been, who the prince was, or even where she would have lived.
ANY facts about Holland, theories, or information would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!
