I concede that William's title(s) are curtesy titles, but I still contend he is not a commoner and could not be a member of the house of commons. He is a "Prince" by blood and that is a title and position which elevates him to the nobility. Short of complete abdication, he could not run for office as an MP. He is also on the "Civil List" and paid for his duties as member of the royal family. I doubt that anyone on the civil list would be considered a commoner by the people of the UK
