This is a long weekend in Canada (it's Thanksgiving for us tomorrow), so I won't be able to do further search for you just yet, but if you can provide me with some details of this Lady Caroline, I'll see if I can find something about her later on in *The Times* of London. For example, what do you know of her dates/locations of birth, marriage, death; her parents' names; her husband's name, etc... Also, what evidence do you have for her being known as "Lady" Caroline, and for her having been in service? You mentioned a family history, I believe. Is it anectodal (stories you've heard from your relatives), or is it factual (a published source based on facts)?
