Boards just don't work ...

Hi,
I've sent the following message to the Help desk, after I've again had those frustrating errors. Please - let me know - is it only me, am I the only one with those frustrating errors?
--------- snip ---------
Hi,
// ................ //
I'm trying to move this above thread which doesn't belong on the ........ board - but I can't do it. Maybe *you* can move it on to
.................
I'm contiuously seeing "Error occurred while trying to move message."
When I started out as an admin some years ago, my editing, moving, deletions etc. worked most of the times. Now I think in 8 out of 10 actions I'm getting errors, repeatedly. Sometimes it takes 5 or 6 or even more attempts until an action works! Due to these errors the time my admin work takes has probably doubled - and this is going on since the boards got that new system ... don't really know when this was. Like other admins, I've had those errors from the beginning, only that I'm seeing more problems since this 2007 summer.
Frankly, I don't care any longer. I just can't put into this more time, it's already been many hours before. I'm not giving up yet - but I just can't do all that might be adequate to do for my boards - especially those with +10,000 messages. I'll just have to stop cleaning up the older parts, reaching back till 1998 or I don't know how far.
Part of the problem also is that there's a severe lack of communication. Although things have improved a bit due to the "Board Administrator News", judging from what I read of experiences other admins are having, the common pattern still is that when we ask what's going on, we don't always get clear statements if we get answers at all. It's like talking to the Delphi oracle: sometimes you'll get an answer, sometimes not, and if you ask for a more detailed clarification, you'll often get back - nothing. I'm certainly aware of the scarce (personal) recources around, but this fact alone doesn't help soothing my deep frustration.
Regards
