I am confused about the difference between uploading a GEDCOM to World Connect trees vs. uploading a GEDCOM to Ancestry.com trees. Can someone please answer these questions for me?

1. What is the relationship, if any, between uploaded GEDCOM trees posted to Ancestry.com and trees posted through World Connect/Rootsweb?

For example, I posted a tree to Ancestry.com, the tree displays on that site but NOT on World Connect. (The object is to keep my trees current on both Ancestry.com and World Connect).

If I publish a tree to World Connect will it show on Ancestry.com?

2. I thought at one time members were advised not to post separate trees to World Connect and Ancestry.com because that would produce a duplicate. Is that still true?

3. What are the pros and cons of publishing a tree to Ancestry.com vs. World Conenct?
