Automatic cutoff date for LIVING

For some time the automatic cutoff date that triggers the replacement of given names and dates by LIVING has been 1930. In my files I opt for 1917. I know that many people would prefer to include everyone, whether they're living or not. I've just stumbled across a small file (only 119 names) whose author, apparently unintentionally, has found a way to evade the trigger:

:493950 (Regnstrom Family Tree)

She gives the dates in the format

yyyy mm dd OR
yyyy-mm-dd OR
yyyymmdd

with the result that people born fairly recently show up, despite not having a date of death (as recent as 1998; this file was uploaded in 2001). Despite this, there are still 40 individuals in this file marked as LIVING.
