Classification: Query
Surnames: Alcock Hutchins
Her sister Frances Alcock Hutchins was also imprisoned in Boston for 6 months at the age of 80, but was bailed out by her son. She lived another 2 years. I am descended from her. She was prosecuted years earlier for wearing a scarlet hood in violating of "sumptuary laws" (the rule that only aristocrats could wear finery). She was not fined because it was determined that she was of the upper class. Another woman who was prosecuted at the same time for the same time was not determined to be upper class and was fined.
