numbering in register reports

I compiled my family genealogy for reports and printed them with Family Tree Legends 6.0 using Register Reports. For some reason, I have one set of grand-children that doesn't show up in the last generation yet two other sets of grandchildren from the same family do. One of these grandchildren that doesn't show up is male and should show up I would think. I've tried different things to make this happen and it's not working. any help appreciated.
Kind regards,
Celeste K

Numbering in register reports

I've just completed my family genealogy after a year of much work and research, only to have my aunt discover in my register reports that two of her grand-children are not listed in the very last generation in the report and they do not have numbers (one child is male, other female). I haven't the foggiest idea why these two grand-children don't show up in the last generation of great grandchildren and can't figure out how to get the male grandchild a number. The other two sons of my aunt - their children show up in the very last generation, but the third son's children don't. Any idea as to why? Any help appreciated.
Kind regards,
Celeste

FTL Still in Business??

I recently purchased a new computer with Windows Vista. My old computer "shot craps" so I had to reload the software I had and thankfully I had loaded my one side of the family into my external harddrive. Unfortunately, not sure if GenCircles is compatible with Windows Vista. Everytime I log in, I get the welcome screen asking if I want to retreive my data from realtime internet server. I do, but when it finally does load, then I try to access a family line it is very slow or does open at all. I end up having to shut the program down and starting all over again. Feels like a but or it's just plain not compatible. All attempts at asking for help with Family Tree Legends have gone unanswered. Can anyone help???
Thanks!
Mike
Florissant, MO

FTL & book

I use FTL software but can't find if it has the capability to format a book with index (like Family Tree Maker). Also I could not find the option of deciding how many generations to print in a report. It prints several generations completely then just an outline. Really disappointed in these features.

Family Tree Legends - Did I lose my data?

I have been entering information for over a year into my Family Tree Legends software.

Whenever I want to work on it, I merely clicked the icon on my desktop and the program came right up where I left off.

Today, whenever I click the icon, a sort of welcome window comes up giving me several options such as importing someone else's FTL, creating new file, etc.

Did I lose my entire information?

I did receive an email from a lady who said she had info attached which I attempted to download and it showed she had FTL as well. However, I was unsuccessful in downloading her information.

I don't know whether it was attempting to retrieve her info that caused the problem or something else.

Can anyone help me? I'm desperate as I have hours and hours....a whole year's worth of downloading information from forty years of research!!!!!

Question About FTL's Internet Publishing feature

I'm currently considering purchasing FTL, and have a question regarding one of it's features, and can't find the answer on the FTL site or elsewhere. Maybe one of you can answer it?

My question is regarding this quote at the FTL site:
Real-Time Internet Publishing takes the work out of publishing your file to the Internet by transmitting your file directly to the GenCircles Web site, & automatically keeping it up to date as you work.

My question: What exactly does this mean? I want to be able to publish my info and reports/books, etc to MY OWN website, but I do not want it published automatically to GenCircles (or anywhere else automatically). Does this mean if I use FTL, my info will be published to GenCircles whether I want it to be or not?

I appreciate any info from someone who knows about this. I'm hoping the answer is 'no, it won't publish to GenCircles unless you tell it to', because I want my software working for me, not me working for my software. Thanks in advance for replies.

Family Tree Legends

Hello-Any other FTL users out there??
I purchased FTL and have had numerous problems with it-however, each and every email I have sent has been promptly answered(sometimes by Cliff Shaw, sometimes by Donna Lund) and the problem is resolved. My main complaint is-the problems seem to be a continual situation and I am a bit tired of the endless promises of how future updates will address/resolve all my concerns and difficulties. I wish the program had been released as a finished product-not a "work-in-progress"; guess its one way to finance your project-but I feel like I basically wasted good money on a product full of promises, rather than the promised product! I'm going back to Family Tree Maker, ver. 9-it is far more reliable.
