I appreciate all the insights and thoughts about how to do this. I think this is what I'm going to do:

Burial Fact: Preferred
Fact date: (left blank)
Fact place: Place: Mindoro, Farmington Town, LaCrosse County, Wisconsin
Fact description: (left blank)
Fact notes: Interpreted place; see Mindora for rationale

Burial Fact: Alternate
Fact date: (left blank)
Fact place: Place: Mindoro, Farmington Town, LaCrosse County, Wisconsin
Fact description: (left blank)
Fact notes: Place name as listed in Strauss / Keiser Family History Chart Book. See citation notes for more information.
Source: Strauss / Keiser Family History Chart Book
Citation detail: chart 2, page 1
Citation text: "Mindora, Wisc"
Citation notes: Unable to find Mindora Wisconsin in any listing of places (historical or current). Presume this location to be Mindoro, La Crosse County, Wisconsin. Checked GNIS Historical Places listing (US Census Bureau) and "City County Finder III v3.55" from Cox Software.

I'm taking this route because I want Mindora to show up in my database in case I come across more evidence that shows Mindora in fact to be correct.

Or, is there a way to have FTM show both places without creating a Preferred and an Alternate fact?

Appreciate everyone's help!
