Duplicate spouses and unattached spouses

I have been using FTM since version 3 (1995, I think), and always updated versions and rolled over the data. Originally I converted Roots III to FTM. I now have FTM 2014. I have had some problems with spouses for years, and seek anyone's help in solving them. I don't see any answers in the new 2013 Companion Guide.

1. The same couple is shown as married three times to each other (on the same date). The husband has three wives, and the wife has three husbands -- all the same people. On reports they are shown as married three times, and they have the same child three times. I have not figured out a way to delete the two extra marriages.

2. The husband is shown as having two spouses. The first is "not named" and the second is the correct spouse (his only spouse). The wife is shown as having only the one correct spouse. I can't see to delete the "not named" marriage -- there is no data for it. Even though the wife is shown as the mother of the two children, on a tree, the children are shown as having no mother.

Any thoughts would really be appreciated. Thank you.
