I've been researching my family with some pretty good success for several years, but I'm very disorganized and need to get my data on disk. I understand FTM is pretty user friendly for building a family tree. What if I don't want my info on the Net yet? Is that what PDF is all about? I want to build the tree privately for a little while longer to make sure everything is absolutely factual before I share it with the world.
Also, if I do get more fancy as I go along, is it possible to transfer the information built on FTM to a different piece of software?
Finally, can Family Tree Maker be purchased at a computer store such as Best Buy or CompUSA?
Sorry for the questions; I should have done this a long time ago before it got overwhelming :(Thanks for any suggestions.
