Open copies of FTM 16

I just obtained a GEDCOM file from a cousin. I loaded it into FTM as a second family tree. The tree has much data that I want to use. However, there are problems with the data and I do not wish to merge the two trees. Can I have have both trees open on my computer and copy information from one tree to other rather than printing out the information and retyping it in? Hope my question make sense. Thanks in advance.
