Inserting reports into Word from Family Tree Maker

I find printing the reports from Family Tree Maker uses lots of ink. Is there a way to transfer the reports to
Word and then printing from there? I can't get the pdf files to transfer.

Depends on what version of Family Tree Maker you are using?

Most recent versions have the ability to export to an RTF file, which MS Word can read.

Why would printing from Word be any different then directly from Family Tree Maker?
