It was like I was reading my own problems....
I imported a paf file with 4000+ names and media files
Everything seemed OK for a few days til I found some bad links as you mentioned!!!

Have you any resolution to this situation??

I cannot find out anything unique to these link problems to be sure I have found/fixed them all
