No, Ancestry has not yet implemented the ability to download all source images into FTM For Mac.
Despite it's year-long promise to do so, I see no indication that this feature will actually be implemented as a so-called "patch". Whether it will be included in subsequent versions, well, as I have said before, I remain hopeful yet doubtful.
The problem, as I see it, is that this was not simply an oversight on the part of the developers or something slated for a future patch, but that it was an intentional exclusion. Enabling their Mac versions with the same functionality of their PC counterparts is something that Ancestry has never fully embraced. FTM has shown signs of a renewed commitment but given the historical ambiguity Ancestry was had towards Mac development, I think continued skepticism is well-warranted.
To me, the big question is why the resistance toward parity between platforms? Difficulty and resources? General business model? Ideology? All leave me rather unsatisfied.
Despite, or perhaps, because of my doubts I remain curious and hopeful for FTM For Mac.
