I've never seen a problem with the info in columns going to the wrong column. That's not to say that a certain combination of circumstances could make that happen.

The only problem I've seen is breaking down data inside the columns, but that is easily handled (usually) with the Excel "Text to Columns" capability. For example, the export puts city, county, state, and country in the same column. You have to use text-to-columns capability of your spreadsheet to break those columns down - which is a problem because that capability usually goes left to right - which means Brooklyn, New York in first two columns, while Brooklyn, Kings Co, New York will be in first three columns from left; which means New York state will be in different columns.
