I beg to differ, but FAV is NOT the easiest, especially when FAV cannot read/import a gedcom. However, since I still have F TM versions 3 through 10 on hand, and since I still use FTM9 as a portable app, I have little to no problem accessing the data but the software in clunky when it comes to reading the data and is tempermental when you want to copy more than 100 lines of text at a time, which is what lead me to reverse engineer my own solutions to this problem.
Thanks anyway, but I prefer the CDs to the subscription services any day!
Irene, if and when you ever read this, please feel free to email me directly if you still have the CDs or are willing to part with them. Alternately, you can boot camp your iMac to run Windows (or even use a Windows Virtual Machine) to access the data and side by side install the old Windows based FTM9 or 10 which you can buy on amazon.com for less than $20.00.
