Dear All

Have just successfully loaded Family Tree Maker 2012 onto my new laptop and appear to have also managed to successfully transfer all my files from my old PC and FTM2006! AND I have managed to extend my subscription by the 6 months free membership that came with it.

For someone not very computer literate this has been quite a feat!

The layout of 2012 is very different from 2006 but I am sure that with time I will master it.

It has been very interesting to read everyone's posts, although sometimes I didn't understand a lot of what you have said. However, it is good to know that out there, in the Ancestory community, there are so many experts who are so generous with their time and expertise.

Very reassuring!I'll know where to come if I run into any difficulties with the new format.
