No log file. It appears that the file is corrupt and so far all of the backups (~3) are corrupt.

The problem is not with 2012 but that the file itself has problems. The user is looking for older backups hoping that one of them may be good.

Edit: Just made a new file (empty) in version 16 and it is about the same file size. File information also shows 1679 text records (even though the file is empty).
