I am pretty well versed in computers; I spent 6 years as the head of the IT dept. in a medium sized company, I have built 5 or 6 custom computers, have spent many hours troubleshooting software and hardware problems and this one is pretty complicated.
I have read through the crash report and it is indicating by the exceptions that the FTM program itself is attempting to access a protected area of memory; also indicating that it is unsafe code.
This is going to be something the programmers of FTM are going to have to address and repeating the steps in the repair article will not help.
I am just going to have to wait and see if they actually do anything about it.
