I have Legacy 7.5, which I love. I purchased FTM 2012 in an effort to upload my data, which has many notes and many old photos, onto Ancestry.com. FTM 2012 claims to be compatible with Legacy. It is, only so far as saying it will import. But when it imports the Legacy file, it butchers so many things in the database, including attaching children to the most incredibly incorrect parents, losing many notes, etc, and it won't print out a report with those notes, even though that option has been checked for the report. So, the import of the Legacy file renders the new FTM useless, and certainly not uploadable to Ancestry.com FTM has a long history of ignoring major issues by users. I found the new FTM 2012 software absolutely terrible. Having been a user of FTM since its inception, I'm pretty disgusted.
