In your original post you said "YOUR" cloud system. If your "cloud" system consist of one desktop, one laptop and one lan accessed Large drive. You can do what you want by working off of the large drive. All of your FTM files would then reside on the large drive. If you wanted to take your data and you laptop to a remote location, all you have to do is copy the files on the Large drive to your desktop. Once you return home copy them back to the large drive, so the changes you made while away will be available to the desktop.

If both computers were used to change the FTM file, I know of no way to sync the two files.

If you are looking for a quick way of doing this there are several free programs that will compare files on two different computers and copy the newest to the other. There are other options as to which file will be copied. I have been using the Free version of SyncBack

Using this software you could set up one profile to just look at the FTM file folder.
