Yes, yes. I'm not disputing that, David. I was just pointing out that you'd missed the AppData business earlier.
I've written a VB script that backs up the .ftm file along with the contents of the FamilyTreeMaker in AppData. This is now my replacement for creating .ftmb files within FTM. I never include media in that anyway, and my process for backing up the media folder is different. I have written a different VB script that looks for anything that has changed in that folder and then copies those changes over to my backup drive. It's a waste of space otherwise to make wholesale copies of the media folder each time I want to back up the .ftm. If something gets messed up in my tree or my sync breaks again, I will be using the .ftm+appdata to restore. I don't really need to bother myself with the media folder.
