Yes, you need those, but the folder I was referring to was the one with the sync files.
Best bet, always keep backups of the AppData folder, and whatever folder you keep your genealogy files in.

Until I started this thread, I didn't realize I needed that appdata folder, thankfully it was part of my backup routine anyway.
