Suggestion:

On a regular basis, do a Tools, Compact File.

The first thing that utility does, is to ask you if you want to Back Up your file. Accept and do the Back Up (OFF of your Hard Drive, like an External Drive), then let the Compact file complete.

This does some file maintenance for you. THEN do the SyncNow.
