I was just explaining how to do it without breaking the link. Any time the link is broken, you risk losing work either in AMT or FTM. On AMT, you lose your comments, your processed hints, your member-connections, all the links back to your original media that others have copied, all the links to your tree where it is sourced, etc. In FTM, you lose tasks, processed hints, saved reports, media categories, changed file names of media items, and every type of note except person notes. If you have a lot of stuff to lose, restoring from an .ftmb is not a good solution. If you don't have much to lose, then you're right. There's no harm in restoring, breaking, and redownloading/uploading/linking. I'm just trying to make people aware that they have options.
