You have only heard from the ones that are having issues. V
There are 1,000's of copies running out there that you are not hearing from.

NO, I have not had issues with 2012, but I also do not have 100,000 people in my databases. I keep mine under 30,000. I also do not load them up with media.

If you make backup like one should, then you can always set back to the current copy and not lose to much work, if you do run into issues. NO. program is perfect, regardless who makes it.
