This is untrue. There are facts of non-married individuals that need to be shared. First of all you have in today's climate especially, shared facts between 'significant others'. Second, you have facts such as a mother moving in with a daughter. There is also the fact of property being listed under just an individual when it very well could be legally shared. In any case, the shared fact is a shorter, easier method of entering facts in place of doing it twice.

I have created a shared fact for residence not only for husband and wife but I'm trying to do it for 2 individuals so I don't have to enter things twice. To do it for spouses:

1.Go to Edit in the upper menu, then down to 'manage facts'.
2.Click on 'New'
3 Enter the information you want being sure that it's a slightly different spelling or words.
4 Be sure to click on 'Shared'
5.On the bottom right of the box click on 'Insert Fact Data'
6.Choose 'Spouse'. This will add a text of {spouse} in the coding.
7.Choose the Fact Options that you want.
8.Click ok

You now will see a new shared item in the list of facts by whatever you named it.
In your choices along with Fact Options will be a tab for the spouses.
