Not sure which screen you are getting hung up on. So I'll address this a couple ways.
Background: When you click on a Hint in FTM you are taken to the Web Search Tab. This is really just a browser window opened inside of FTM. The “Results” are in the upper window, "Person from your Tree" is in the lower left (this is the person selected in the mini pedigree at the top) and the "Search results detail - Merge" is in the lower right. This displays the highlighted hint details. To view a different hint, click on it in the results window. Observe the blue highlight has moved and watch the Merge to see it update.

1. To close this window click on the People tab. You will be taken back to your tree.

2. If you have clicked on an underlined hint (hyperlink) in the Search Results and opened to the record on ancestry. There is a left facing green arrow on the navigation bar next to the URL address. Clicking this arrow will take you back to the search results window.

A few tips: You can also right click on a results hyperlink and select "open in a new window" to view the ancestry record. Then all you need do is close the browser window to get rid of it.

If the hint belongs to another person you can use the mini pedigree display to move to another person in your tree. There is also a link to your person select list just to the right of that.

Lastly, a right click (in the mini pedigree) on the selected person will allow you to open an "edit this person" window so you can review that person.
