Mine also runs just fine with my Windows 8 Pro 64 bit machine, but it was upgraded to Windows 8 from Windows 7.

In the Plan tab, and the Dashboard area, does it show you logged in?

What "protection" programs are you running?

What happens when you click on Websearch"?
